Emily in Paris Filming Locations: 10 Spots, Restaurants and a One-Day Route

Most Emily in Paris filming locations cluster around Place de l'Estrapade in the 5th arrondissement: Emily's apartment, Gabriel's restaurant (really Terra Nera) and the show's bakery all face the same small square, three minutes' walk from the Panthéon. Café de Flore, the Pont des Arts, the Palais Royal, the Palais Garnier and the Eiffel Tower complete an easy one-day route. Season 5 moved to Rome and Venice, and the sixth and final season is set to premiere on Netflix on 24 December 2026.

Where is Emily's apartment in Paris? Place de l'Estrapade

Emily's apartment is at 1 Place de l'Estrapade, a quiet square in the Latin Quarter of the 5th arrondissement, with Gabriel's restaurant and the show's bakery on the corner next to it. It's the most visited spot in the series, so go early.

1 Place de l'Estrapade: Emily's apartment

The building on the corner of the square is the exterior used for Emily's apartment. Real people live here, so don't ring the buzzer, go through the door or hang around the entrance; the view from across the square is the best photo anyway.

Terra Nera: Gabriel's restaurant

Gabriel's restaurant, called Les Deux Compères, Chez Lavaux and L'Esprit de Gigi over the seasons, is Terra Nera at 18 rue des Fossés-Saint-Jacques. It's actually an Italian restaurant serving fresh pasta and seafood; pasta dishes on its online menu cost about €18–21, and it opens Monday to Saturday. Book ahead for busy evenings.

Boulangerie Moderne: the bakery from the show

The bakery where Emily buys her first Paris croissant is Boulangerie Moderne at 16 rue des Fossés-Saint-Jacques, run by Thierry Rabineau. It's a neighbourhood bakery that was among the award winners of the 2026 Grand Prix de la baguette de Paris, so it's worth buying breakfast here, not just taking photos.

Panthéon: Emily's break-up call

The Panthéon is about a 3-minute walk west of the square; in season 1, Emily breaks up with her boyfriend back home over the phone on the steps outside. Voltaire, Victor Hugo and Marie Curie are buried inside. A full-price ticket was €13 from October 2025 to March 2026 and has been €16 in summer; check current prices and hours on the Panthéon website.

Saint-Germain and the Seine: Café de Flore and the Pont des Arts

From the Panthéon, a walk of about 20 minutes through the Luxembourg Gardens brings you to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, home to Café de Flore and close to the Pont des Arts.

Café de Flore

Café de Flore, at 172 boulevard Saint-Germain, opened in the late 19th century and was a regular haunt of Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir; in the show it's where Emily soaks up Paris café culture. It opens every day until late, and there's often a queue for terrace tables; check hours on the official website.

Pont des Arts

In season 1, episode 1, Emily strolls across the Pont des Arts after her first day at work; the footbridge links the Louvre with the Institut de France. Love locks once overloaded its railings, so in 2015 the City of Paris replaced them with glass panels that can't take padlocks. The deck was re-laid in 2023 and the last strengthening work finished in May 2026 (City of Paris).

Where is Emily's office? The Palais Royal and Place de Valois

The exterior of Savoir (later Agence Grateau), the marketing agency Emily works for, is on Place de Valois in the 1st arrondissement, just east of the Palais Royal. It's about a 10-minute walk from the Pont des Arts through the Louvre.

Place de Valois: the Savoir / Agence Grateau office

The building is an ordinary office block, so it's exterior photos only. Bistrot de Valois (1 bis Place de Valois), across the square, appears in season 4 as the spot where Sylvie holds a business lunch, and it's a good place to eat if you want to linger in the show's world.

Palais Royal gardens: where Emily meets Mindy

Emily meets her best friend Mindy in the Palais Royal gardens, and the gardens and arcades are free to enter. The black-and-white striped columns in the courtyard are Daniel Buren's installation Les Deux Plateaux, one of fans' favourite photo spots.

How much are Palais Garnier and Eiffel Tower tickets?

A self-guided visit to the Palais Garnier costs €25 (€15 for EEA residents), while Eiffel Tower tickets cost €14.80–€36.70 depending on the level and whether you take the stairs or the lift. Book both ahead on the official websites.

Palais Garnier

The Eiffel Tower turns up in almost every season, and the classic shot is the full view from the Trocadéro. After dark it sparkles for about 5 minutes at the start of every hour. Buy tickets on the official Eiffel Tower website, where the price shown at checkout applies.

Visiting the filming locations with luggage: getting from the airport to your hotel

Many fans stay in the Latin Quarter or Saint-Germain, but the small hotels in these old buildings often have tiny lifts or none at all, and most Metro stations only have stairs. RER B runs direct from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Luxembourg station (about 45–50 minutes; the airport ticket costs €14), but trains get crowded at rush hour, hauling two large suitcases up station stairs is hard work, and Paris's pickpockets make it tricky to watch your bags and your route at the same time.

LuggAgent can collect your luggage at the airport or your hotel and deliver it to your next stop the same day or the next day, so you can head straight from the airport to Place de l'Estrapade with just a day bag, or send your bags to the airport on departure day and squeeze in one last coffee at Café de Flore. See luggage delivery in Paris for details.

If you land at Charles de Gaulle, hand your bags over at the airport and we'll take them to your hotel in central Paris:
